Trade Products carries an extensive range of balustrading hardware.
Hydraulically swaged fittings achieve a more streamlined look. This is due to less fittings being required to swage, this also makes job far less fiddly. Wire fits into sleeve fitting and hydraulic tool is then used to form a hydraulic swage around fitting, clamping the wire firmly into place.
Hand swaged wire balustrading requires both ends of wire swaged by threading the wire around a thimble (this horseshoe shaped fitting creates a nice consistent loop for wire) then through a ferrule which is then hand swaged, crimping ferrule and clamping wire in place. It is important that where applicable, wire rope thimble is already fitted over turnbuckle/saddle/screw eye prior to swaging as once swaged, the swage cannot be undone.
